In Memoriam
It is with
great sadness and sorrow that we record the passing of Anthony N J Sullivan
FCA ATII.
Tony trained
as an articled clerk after leaving Dartford Grammar School, qualifying as a
Chartered Accountant in 1955. Several years were spent on the team of the
prestigious journal to the tax profession “Taxation” following which he
joined the firm Ball Baker Deed in Bishopsgate and became a partner.
In 1968 with
Kenneth Rankin and Reg Cobden, Tony was a founding partner of Evans Rankin
Chartered Accountants. The firm was a pioneer of forestry syndicates
bringing woodland ownership within the scope of a wide clientele during a
period of change for taxation and society.
He retired as
a partner from Evans Rankin in 1995 but continued in his own consultancy
until 2010.
Tony will
be greatly missed by his family and clients many of whom were with him
through a long career spanning over 50 years: an adviser held in high esteem
“in his profession he was the best, and also a very good friend.” |
